This is Philips' first cdrom player, introduced in 1985. Connected to your PC/XT or PC/AT through the CM153 ISA interface card it was possible to read cdrom discs. It is based on the Philips cd100 or cd101 cdplayer. It almost looks the same, except for the height, the display and the control buttons.

This cdrom player originates from november 1987. That's a way back! It has a cdm1 (i think) transport. There even are some drivers on the internet to download... It was not very fast, it had a throughput of 36K.
